Community Connections for Hope &
Healing is a grief education & support program provided to our community by
Sherwood Funeral Home in collaboration with the
Grief
Education & Support Groups for Men & Women
Thursdays
7:00-8:30pm beginning September 23
“Understanding
Your Grief”
“Understanding Your Grief” is an
educational support group for those adults recently bereaved. Each 90 minute session will begin with a 30
minute information presentation on different aspects of grief. Following the presentation you will be
invited to break into small groups for men and women at which
you can share your experience in grief and discuss our resource book. Our grief resource book, ‘Understanding Your
Grief’ by Dr. Alan Wolfelt, describes touchstones for
finding physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual hope and
healing.
Our Weekly Education Presentation
& Discussion Topics Will Include:
The groups will be facilitated by one
or more staff volunteers of ‘Community Connections for Hope and Healing’. Feel free to come for a week or two to
discover if an education & support group will be helpful for you in your
journey of grief. The groups will
continue into the New Year to support you in your loss.
Pre-registration for the
groups will be helpful so we can have materials prepared.
Cost for the book is
