MINISTRY TEAMS
A Ministry Team is a group of two or more individuals who carry out a part of the mission of the church. Ministry Teams are empowered and affirmed by the Executive Ministry Team and accountable to the same. Ministry Teams are formed out of need and giftedness. When either the church leaders or church body senses the leading of God to meet a need that is not being met a Ministry Team may be formed. Participants of a Ministry Team are either elected or come as volunteers out of a sense of giftedness and a desire to serve.

EXECUTIVE MINISTRY TEAM
This group, elected by the church, oversees the general ministry of the church and is the main decision making body of the church. This Team includes the Pastor, Moderator, Vice Moderator, Clerk, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, and 3 members of the church.

ENDOWMENT FUND MINISTRY TEAM
This Team oversees the investments of the Endowment Fund and recommends to the church the disbursements from the Fund.

NOMINATING MINISTRY TEAM
This Team of 5 men and women, elected by the church, seek nominees for our offices for election at our annual business meeting each October.

PASTORAL SEARCH MINISTRY TEAM
This team is called into being by the Executive Ministry Team when there is need to search for Pastoral Staff for the church.
CORE MINISTRY TEAMS
DEACONS MINISTRY TEAM
This Team of men and women, elected by the church, oversees the spiritual life and growth of the church. This Team also assists the pastor in the worship and pastoral care of the church. The Deacons also provide events that will nurture the spiritual and relational growth of the church.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY TEAM
People in the church are invited to knit or crochet prayer shawls. These shawls are distributed by the Deacons and Pastor to people in the church and community who are in special need of prayer. The shawls are a visible reminder of God's grace and the prayers of God's people.

SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY TEAM
This Team, composed of the Sunday School Staff, provides Sunday School classes and events for the educational and spiritual growth of our church. Classes are held each Sunday at 11:15am and are provided for all ages.

ACTS OF COMPASSION & FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY TEAM
This Team provides meals for families following a funeral and meals for people when they come home from the hospital, or rides to the doctor, etc., as needed. This Team also plans and supplies some of the annual fellowship events of the church.

HELPING HANDS MINISTRY TEAM
This Team guides our church in providing for the physical needs of people in the church and community through such ministries as: Food & Clothing Ministry, Christmas Tree Angel Tree Ministry, CROP Walk and Jackson Interfaith Shelter.

YOUNG AT HEART SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY TEAM
This ministry is for Senior Adults in our church and community. Generally, the group meets each Thursday for Bible Study. Other events include monthly lunch & games, Grief Recovery Ministry as needed and day trips.

HOSPITALITY MINISTRY TEAM
This Team seeks to make our church more inviting by providing acts of hospitality to our guests and new attendees including Welcome Teams, a Welcome Table, Welcome gifts, name tags and follow up of our first time guests.
PASTOR CHURCH RELATIONS MINISTRY TEAM
This Team of 4 men and women, elected by the church, seek to nurture healthy relationships in our church. This includes healthy relationships between the pastor and the church, and among the church people. This Team also works with the pastor and church in planning continuing education, a sabbatical for the pastor and makes compensation recommendations to the Executive Ministry Team.

This Team oversees the maintenance and improvement of our buildings, contents and land, including the church and parsonage which houses the pastor and his/her family.

This team maintains & collects resources for our Christian growth and education in the library; and preserves and displays our church's historical documents and photos.

This Team leads the Youth Choir which rehearses on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month and sings during the worship on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

This Team ensures we have a bell ringer, candle lighters and ushers to receive the offering each worship service as needed.

This Team ensures we have nursery staff each worship service and oversees the care of toys & furniture in the nursery.

FEDERATED FRIENDS MINISTRY TEAM
This team's mission is to serve our church and community by providing services, goods, comfort, or joy where it is needed. One of the main projects of this team is to provide personal hygiene kits for the Interfaith Shelter in Jackson.
